Gwernydd Hall Holiday Home Park

A Premier Caravan Holiday Home and Lodge Park in the peaceful Welsh countryside

What to See and Do at Gwernydd Hall Holiday Home Park

Gwernydd Hall is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend, just sit back and enjoy the natural surroundings and the peace and quiet.

If you feel more energetic then there is lots to see and do not far from the park.   The picturesque market town of Welshpool is only 15 minutes by car, with shops, pubs, leisure centre, cinema and railway.

The world famous Powis Castle, which has been a royal summer retreat for many years, is five miles away.   For the more adventurous there is golf, fishing, walking, climbing and quad bike trekking within easy reach.

Within reasonable driving distance is Bala Lake, with a whole range of watersports and a visit to the popular, bustling seaside resort of Aberdovey is only a 45 minute drive.

On the park the "Gwernydd Arms" provides owners with a warm welcome; roaring log fires in the winter or a south facing sun terrace with panoramic views in the summer enables traditional home cooked fayre to be eaten in the perfect environment.

We have a fitness suite, crown bowling green, crazy golf, petanque court, childrens play area and even a cinema style movie den (which is built to look like a wooden fort!)

Whatever you like to do we are sure you will find it at Gwernydd Hall.

Gwernydd Hall movie den

We're probably unique in having our own on-park movie den. Kitted out with Odeon Cinema style chairs, a 3 metre H.D. screen, and the latest "Bose" sound system, this venue is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening watching your favourite movie.

We offer a different programme each week and owners can request their favourite flicks.

Our Recommendations

Powis Castle is a great place to spend the day. It is a medieval castle originally built as a fortress and later modified by generations of Herberts and Clives.

The Clive museum houses a beautiful collection of treasures from India.  Only about 20 minutes drive from the park and run by the National Trust.  We especially recommend the gardens and the cream teas .
